Matt’s Kitchen Garden Cookbook

Inspired by the market garden at his Sydney restaurant Chiswick, as well as time spent visiting producers all around Australia for his TV series Paddock to Plate, Matt dishes up a mouth-watering selection of recipes with this trademark deft touch and winning flavour combinations.

Food stylist, Vanessa Austin, and I spent most of the shoot in my studio recreating the bright and sunny outdoor look that Penguin Books wanted for these images and the rest of the shoot days were spent on location visiting the local producers around Sydney where Matt sources much of his produce for his restaurants from. Matt loves his cars so much of the fun on these days came from the white knuckle trips along the winding roads in the semi-rural outskirts of town in his Audi Sports car as we visited each location.
