I was sent to London with writer Jonathan Lobban to capture a story about bespoke suiting and Mayfair’s famous street, Saville Row. Part of the story hinged on a shoot and interview with the great Dame of English fashion, Vivienne Westwood but the difficult thing was that on our arrival into London it turned out that none of the main shoots and interviews had been organised. It turned out that Vivienne would be speaking at a conference we were to attend but getting the details on where and when she’d be there proved, as you can imagine- difficult.

In the end it was almost comical, I had to go into paparazzi mode, stalking Vivienne and her entourage through hotel lobbies until she finally climbed the stairway to the conference where I’d laid my trap (set up my lighting). “Vivienne, can I please get a picture?” I yelled just as she reached the fourth stair….
